The mission description from Angel Flight was:
SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST: (9th and 10th Angel flights)I had carried Chloe on her maiden voyage, Mission 1178, in August and again in September on Mission 1269.A 5 year old resident of Roma requires treatment for ?Hurler Scheie Syndrome?(Inherited enzyme deficiency) at the Royal Children?s Hospital.
Due to the distances involved and the frequency of treatment, air transport would greatly reduce the travelling time and amount of discomfort experienced by the patient and also help alleviate the financial burden on the family.
I got airborne just at 6:30 and quickly climbed above the strato cumulus and stayed there until Roma.
I taxied up to the terminal building at 8:10. Chloe and her mum Jo were already waiting for me. I loaded what little luggage they had aboard and had them seated in no time.
Touch down on runway 04R was just before 10:00 and I taxied up to my mechanic's hangar (as the plane was scheduled for some maintenance), where Sue Stubbs was already waiting for us.
Also in attendance was Angel Dog Puppy, who was keen to greet everyone with a paw and a lick.
I was in the office well before 11:00, having already been halfway across the state and back, and saved a little girl and her mum a six hour drive.
