On Monday the 19th of March 2007 I flew Mission 1728, making it my 59thAngel Flight.
The mission description from Angel Flight was:
SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST: (22nd Angel flight)
A one and half old baby from St George was born with Bilateral Talipes ie. club feet. The boy is required to travel to Brisbane for a post operative review.
Note: This is a same day return.
Benjamin and his mum Michelle were flown to up to Brisbane in the morning by Angel Flight pilot Cheryl Arentz. They had previously suffered at my hands
on Mission 614 in November 2005 and Mission 794 in January 2006.

Archerfield to St George - Gremlins again
We got airborne on time and started heading west toward Amberley. Upon contacting Amberley Approach however, we were told that the re-installed transponder (see
Mission 1641) was showing two aircraft flying in close formation and not transmitting intelligible altitude information. Nonetheless
we were cleared to transit both Amberley and Oakey airspace.
A little over an hour and a half later we were in the circuit at St George, landing on runway 11. With a carefully executed approach at minimum speed and a little
application of brakes we managed to turn off and head for the parking area.
I helped Michelle carry her gear to the car and got back into the plane to head back home.
St George to Archerfield
I had just started the engine and began the taxi for take off when my phone rang - it was Michelle. We had left Benjamin's new foot brace, that he needs to wear at
night time, in the plane. So while Michelle was driving back to the airport, I found the brace, put it on a tree stump, gave her a clue as to where to find it,
and hopped back aboard FWL, which I had left on the tarmac with the engine idling.
Again after a little under two hours I was back on the ground in Archerfield.
