Missions 3193 and 3194 - Archerfield to Theodore

Background

On Tuesday the 22nd of July 2008 I flew Missions 3193 and 3194, making them my 96th and 97th Angel Flights.

The mission descriptions from Angel Flight were:

Mission 3193 - INITIAL TRIP REQUEST:

A seventy five year old gentleman from Theodore has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He requires radiation treatment in Brisbane and has no other means of transport to make this appointment

Mission 3194 - SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST (5th and 6th AngelFlight)

An eighty year old man from Theodore has been diagnosed with ischemic heart disease. He has had a pacemaker implanted as well as valve replacements. He is required to attend specialist appointments in Brisbane for ongoing treatment and review.

I had flown Roy previously on Mission 2620 in February

Nonetheless we arrived as advertised to find a veritable welcomming committee to greet us. The two Juanitas were there again for Roy and Teds family also turned out in force.

Leg 2: Theodore to Archerfield

Having posed for a few happy snaps, I fired up again and spent a little over one and half hours heading back to Archerfield.

With a tailwind this time, I touched down after one and a half hours, the last hour being spent in darkness.

Summary

I was back on the ground in Archerfield after having
