Mission 5173 - Archerfield to Tara

Background

On Thursday the 15^th of April 2010 I flew Mission 5173, making it my 135^th Angel Flight.

The mission description from Angel Flight was:

INITIAL TRIP REQUEST:
This elderly couple needs to travel together, and the wife will be receiving medical treatment at the PA Hospital for a cardiac related condition.

Archerfield to Tara

The weather was picture perfect, Patricia and her husband Rex turned up early, so we got going before time, sailed through benign skies and landed a good five minutes before the customary State Emergency Services truck arrived to meet us.

A happy daugher and an excited grandson were on hand to receive Patricia and Rex.

Tara to Archerfield

With just one or two clouds on the way back, I was joining for final on runway 10R about an hour after leaving Tara - ready to spend the arvo at work.

I was back on the ground in Archerfield, after having
